Projection Admin (Lillian) New APC installed, Batman, etc.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey, everyone! The dust from the roof work got pretty harsh today, so I recommend bringing in a mask for your admin shifts, just to have on ya before it subsides in the evening. Will mentioned in his blog last night that the APC was beeping again. I had time to install the new APC today in T6, which sits at the bottom of the rack, just below the QSC amplifiers. It's from Schneider, one of their uninterruptible power supply products. It is very, very heavy, but not unmanageable to swap out on your own. It's also a relatively easy change, it just has to load and properly charge up/run some self tests. This is another thing we'll make a visual guide for, and I took some photos this morning, which will be added to our drive. I'll link sometime this week! ⭐ Presentation Issues:  Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested new keys for Banshees, The Menu, Decision to Leave .  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: For the Liam Gallagher Afterpart...

NPP Projection Report 11/14 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues:  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever  sounded rather low in theaters 1 and 2 (likely due to the large crowds in both auditoriums this evening) so I raised the volume on both playlists Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a pre-show playlist for The Woman Chaser and show playlists for the subbed and dubbed versions of Porco Rosso (which have also been dated accordingly) though these will need credit offset times entered and light cues added once they can be properly teched; I built the pre-show for The Menu though the feature content failed to ingest this afternoon and will need to be added later (according to the ingest log it failed to ingest on three separate occasions but was successfully ingested once and yet there was still no trace of it when I tried to add it to the playlist builder -- I left the ingest letter from Deluxe with all credit offset times listed open on the desktop for future reference)  Trailer Updates: I not...

To do this evening/ was completed: Very productive start to the week! Alec is back this week (today he's at Williamsburg) so; welcome back, Alec!! ⚘ (that emoji is supposed to be a delicate flower but it looks a bit too blair witch for me). When I spoke with Matthew the other day, I suggested that we get all together and have folks write down what they'd like to learn as far as your own interests as a projectionist go, and how we can beef out our training in general so that we cover the basics for our consistent tech setups and then tinker the rest to a projectionists' specific needs/training desires. I've spoken about this with each of you personally over the past few weeks, so thanks for being so open. McKegg-- will make sure we've got you comfortable with running loops and tackling shows both here and at Williamsburg. Jack, I know you want to see how we change an APC/bulbs more often,...things like that. I was thinking that we'd stretch this out over the cour...

NPP Projection Report 11/13 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Jack asked me to take a look/listen to the Avatar trailer as he thought the volume was too low; I checked in on it in theater 5 and it sounded fine to me (it might be the size of theaters 1 and 2 in combination with the white noise from the crowds that could be affecting the loudness of the audio mix) Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: I looked over the Batman & Robin  trailer this afternoon and it is in pristine condition with no scratches, edge nicks, or tears throughout; I also added some clear leader to the top of the reel to allow for easier threading, however, I am not sure if it will align with the first frame so a quick framing adjustment may have to be made to it once it is up and running  Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue...

NPP Projection Open 11/13

To do this evening/ was completed: Swapped out the She Said trailer for Avatar in the R rated trailer pack. All playlists have also been updated to feature the HowToOrder_Godzilla clip. Removed Bowfinger content from TMS/T3. Presentation Issues: See below: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Private BP screening in T6 went smoothly--I took the RCA to 1/8 cable that was attached to T2's sound processor and connected to the T6 unit so I could play the host's Spotify playlist. Cable has been returned to T2. SoF screening went pretty well, though not flawlessly. The trailer reel was somewhat out of frame when it hit the screen (about a foot of black at the bottom of the screen), and I couldn't adjust it sufficiently with the framing knob, so I closed the heat shield and muted the processor and quickly checked my framing. The reel was in frame, so I unmuted the processor and started the projector motor again. This lasted 10-15 seconds. During the ...

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey, all. Despite the list of goals, tech procedures, bit n bobs we have here, it definitely feels somewhat quieter... So I had another brief chat with Jenn about karaoke since bar folks will be having another discussion about it and I made it clear that I take responsibility for the projection aspect of this event; no tech beforehand and saying 'yes' to an event during a print screening as well as two manual starts in other theatres. I do think it would be super fun to get karaoke up and running at a sensible time, and--apologies if I've mentioned this before and just forgot--I'd like to set up a cubby in the storage room (where we used to keep the dj equipment) and fill it with a couple extra xlr cables, adapters, mics, etc...anything that might be useful to have on hand to not only beef out our inventory but so that we've got the staples for our consistent events in a more accessible space, that way there's less running/sear...

NPP Projection Open 11/12

To do this evening/ was completed: Removed outgoing content from TMS and servers: Till, Lyle Lyle, Woman King, Barbarian. Ingested the updated WakandaForever_15minV2 preshow element and updated Black Panther playlists. Also added a 4.0 volume cue to the ChadwickBoseman_5min clip, as Jess G informed it sounded too quiet at 3.5. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Set up XLR and power cables for the weekly Trees DJ set. Cables returned to 4/6 after the set. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?:  Posters updated?: Cleaning lights on for the night?: Projection cart by entrance?: Additional Notes:
