Projection Close 9/11

To do this evening/ was completed: The marquee rental for tomorrow is up! Chenelle confirmed they're happy with it. 35mm letters taken down, but I kept the 35mm bit organized and labeled under the letters cabinet for after the rental.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Noticed one of the new forecasts was lookin' a bit funky file wise. Kat is uploading V2s so I can take care of the playlists Monday.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ingested the first Dear Mama episode to the LMS and DCP'd the next. Please ingest this in the morning. It'll be done soon, but not before I leave.  Liased with Chenelle and asked if we could start the hosts' tech (for Monday, a rental) on the early side of their time preferred time slot, so likely 11:30. Just hooking up their laptop.  In T1, I downloaded the video file for the private event on 10/31. The audio is currently transcoding. NPP Projection Report 9/11 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: We have a marquee rental that needs to go up tonight on the 35mm side. Chenelle emailed us the copy. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the To Wong Foo playlist Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Drives for To Wong Foo and Resident Evil came in. Ingested both. The Final Fantasy print arrived, I brought it down to booth 1. Joe and Curtis dropped off the Childhood Delusions DCP and watched a bit of it in T1.I also got the intro/Q&A slide which I converted and ingested. I wrote the volume down on the whiteboard since we still need some content to build the playlist.  Ingested Zoolander to the LMS (from the FilmVault!) Converting the first Dear Mama episode to DCP. Projection 9/10

To do this evening/ was completed: A longer day for ol' Kegg dominated mostly by one event, but managed to pick at a few other things as well.  Presentation Issues: Looking at the slides/preshow for Litany , I couldn't quite figure out the correct lens file it should be shown in. Flat and 1.78 were not quite right because the sides were cut off. 2.00 was the closest I could figure, though it still cut off the top and the bottom a little bit.  As the feature started, Desmond asked me if it was OCAP, which I didn't notice when I teched it that afternoon. Looking at Jack's blog, it looks like it had captions somewhere, but that someone else was supposed to look into potentially burning the subs into the image, but I couldn't find a blog saying anyone had. These were minor things that ultimately went fine, but wanted to note. For some reason, the automation cues for the intro slide didn't fire when I was teching it, even though the ones for the Q+A slide did. I just...

Projection Close 9/9

To do this evening/ was completed: Staff Screenings are out on 7shifts, blocked on the calendar and scheduled on the LMS (keeping in mind the techs we have).    Followed up with the cinema team for the weekly content/maintenance meeting.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for The Uprising. Trailer Updates:   Special Events/ AV set up: Setup for the Q&A for Wild Inside, ran through the playlist beforehand and got everything cleaned up after.  Screening and Q&A went super well! Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the print of Perfume today.  Received the CRU drive of The Uprising. I reached out to Deluxe. NPP Projection Report 9/8 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested the Litany for Survival slideshow and added it to the playlist. Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Merrily We Go To Hell went well. I cleaned the projectors after the show and put the scope lenses and plates back in for tomorrow. The T6 private event went well. Trivia also went well. Put everything away afterward and left the USB-C adapter connected to the HDMI cable behind the pew for the Toast training tomorrow. The sound system is also still on and the projector is connected for this tomorrow. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): DCP'd the two remaining tracks for the Wong Foo drag show and ingested them. Deluxe is having issues uploading to our e-delivery server currently. I'm in communication with them about this. I requested a hard drive of The Uprising and they've overnighted one. Projection Admin 9/8

To do this evening/ was completed: We got the film schedule today, so I filled out the LMS Friday, 9/11 - Wednesday, 9/16. We're waiting on The Uprising,  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a tech playlist for NoBudge and checked out all the short films with Desmond today. I adjusted the tech playlist as we went a long, so we can use that when making the official playlist. Everything looks/sounds good.  We also took a look at Bullet (1996) which, frankly, could look better, so Desmond is locating another file.  Trailer Updates:  Special Events/ AV set up: Do the Right Thing private event is all set for tonight! FYI - this is a manual start. To do this evening/ was completed:  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled  The Departed , Shrek , Sundays on Fire, Final Fantasy , and Gridlock'd playlists. Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: The Departed went nicely. Rewound it for the brunch show. Put 1.37 lenses and plates in for tomorrow. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): The Odyssey print is by the side door ready to be picked up by FedEx tomorrow. Print/video Inspection: Put Gang Related on house reels.
