NPP Projection Close 6/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: A guest asked for a closed captioning device ahead of the final round of Backrooms in theater 3. This guest is here frequently with their partner and will normally take the device and set it up on their table themselves. Roughly 5 minutes into the feature I was radioed to come down and troubleshoot some technical difficulties. The device was on but only showed "Dolby Captiview ready" on screen. I've run into this issue before and generally speaking rebooting the Fidelio transmitter in the booth will make for a quick fix but this was not the case. I unplugged the USB line, tried the original closed captioning device in addition to a second one I'd brought down from the third floor, then tried unplugging/plugging in the power three more times to no avail. NPP Projection Open 6/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Ingested Her Private Hell and Jackass to LMS. Ingested new forecasts, deleted old playlists and built new 6/26 A1s. Tech'd Ferris, volume bumped to 5.8, looks good. T4 had no Shutdown last night so lamp was on this morning just a heads up. Meteor Man print arrived, in T4, inspected reels 1-3. Good condition overall but has a lot of detritus attached to it, kind of dirty. NPP Projection Close 6/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Fancy Dance intro and screening this evening went smoothly. I placed the mic and mixer back in the storage bin beneath the curtain following the show. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Feature content for Jackass 5 and Her Private Hell was delivered via Deluxe this evening and should be available for ingestion some time tomorrow Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Had to double check The Death of Robin Hood  for myself... truly a choice having scope transition to 1.66 inside a 1.85 container. I would personally leave the masking be for the duration of the film but the bars might prove distracting for some. Left the playlist as Lillian built it. Thankfully the curtains come in over black frames after the film has quieted down. Should be an interesting experiment to see play out with crowds. Asset tracki...

Projection Admin 6/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Opening up Toy Story 5 today!  I sent an email to projection and house managers about the aspect ratio change that happens 35 minutes into Death of Robin Hood, in addition to it being letterboxed before that change, just in case patrons ask. I added a 1.66 masking cue so that it is nice and flush for the rest of the film. Tech'd this in multiple theatres to make sure everything's firing off well.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Toy Story 5, Leviticus and Robin Hood all ready to go.  Trailer Updates: Ingested Oak Street trailer Special Events/ AV set up: Fancy Dance is all ready to go! Setup a mic off to the side and tested it with the playlist. Projection Admin 6/17

To do this evening/ was completed: Staff Screenings have been sent out on 7shifts, blocked on the calendar and scheduled on the LMS for tomorrow morning and Monday (due to the holiday schedule).  All set for the private event tomorrow morning! I'll be there.  Had our cinema meeting today. We're doing well we just need tracking for Meteor Man and Basic Instinct. John is on it.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a rough playlist to tech Basic Instinct content for the performance.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Psycho is all set for tonight, just remember the spots! To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled coming week in LMS and built cue sheets. Speakers and HDMI connection set up for Shouting at the Screen tonight. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: The Toy Story school screening went very well. I saved the DCP on Google Drive.
