NPP Projection Admin 1/26 Lillian/Jack



To do this evening/ was completed: 

Tech'd Infinity Pool and Escape from NY--volume and credit times are set. Adjusted set volume for Late Round 2/23 trailer. DCP'd Jack and Jill slide, ingested V4 version of Black Love trailer. Tech'd NoBudge shorts/playlist again--the masking motor does not respond to the 1.33 lens/mask playlist pack, maybe something to tech. Circumvented that by just adding individual masking cues to the beginning of 1.37/1.33 shorts. Strangelove keys active at midnight. 
 
Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made the DCP slides for Love Jones and Cruel Intentions - these have been ingested to the TMS.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Seat out in T4! #4201. Needs to go back in after Avatar. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Got RRR and started ingesting Part 1 n 2 into T3 as fast as possible. These will need to be tested and in a timely manner before Action Jackson starts. AJ starts at 9:25~ and Avatar finishes in T3 a few minutes before 9. Keys have been ingested. The current playlist will need to be readjusted with the new files--swap the 5.1 files for the atmos versions. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Couple of DCPs are outbound! A.I. needs to be packaged up. Tried to fix one of the canisters a bit. They're more than a little wonky and jagged, so be careful when handling them! 

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned out the Cp500 processor, checked the fans/airslots. Attempted another adjusted on the voltage control switch on projector 1. No such luck. As with yesterday, the light kept flickering back and forth between red, orange, and sometimes green, until it landed on orange. Cleaned in and around the lens area on the penthouse. Projector 2 is still running just fine. Dolby Alignment Software is, in fact, on Film Tech. Warehouse ~ Manuals ~ Software. Harder to find if you don't deep dive. 

Ran a load of test film to check out both projectors/ prep for this evening. All good to go for Action Jackson. 

McKegg came in for some training in T1 for threading practice, show-person-ship. We ran War of the Worlds. 

Bulb in T1 might've reached half its lifespan, but it looks like it was installed in August. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Offset for Jack and Jill has been added. 

Marquee updated?: Yes, Otto down, Infinity Pool up.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
