Projection Close 9/09



To do this evening/ was completed: Pretty much all quiet on the western front this evening.

I wound up hearing that the level for Bottoms was too low (which it was), so as with the old playlists, I brought the volume up to around 6.0. Adjusted both CCAP and OCAP for 9/8 and 9/15. 

Presentation Issues: Round 4 of the Equalizer in T6 was scheduled with a regular playlist as opposed to the T6 specific one, but I caught and changed it before the show. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made the playlist for Marie Antoinette. Got the credits info. We'll have to get volume Monday morning, but I updated the cue sheets. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Worked on the NoBudge shorts tonight. Finished transcoding Sweet Green to the DCPII drive. Transcoded Up and Coming and Flail, the latter of which is still finishing up transcoding to the DCPIII drive. Was trying to figure out which others had been made the other night and found Singles Retreat on the desktop in T1. Copied it over to the DCPIII drive. All of these (Sweet Green ~ on DCPII, Singles Retreat, Flail and Up n Coming ~on DCPIII) can get ingested tomorrow morning. Thank you!

Spent time learning/researching some questions I have for the new version of DCP-o-matic.

Ordering/Receiving (content): I labeled the Krull BluRay in 4/6 so we know it's for the private on 9/21 in T6. Erased the delivery eta on the whiteboard.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes! Projection ~ Disregard the fact that on the cue sheet it says Cat Vid fest ends at 2:56 tomorrow when it says 2:57 on the TMS. I forgot to make a note about this the other day, but it's the exact same playlist as the one we used early today, it's just, for whatever reason, showing up a minute later on the TMS for the Sunday schedule.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
