Projection Report 3/27

Presentation Issues: Pulp Fiction froze probably about 30 seconds before the credits. It seemed that this file caused the server to freeze (I doubt it's a problem with the server itself because everything else has played without issue). The server started responding again after a little bit without me having to restart it, but by this point everyone was already leaving the theater (understandably not pleased). I did notice the server act funky when I loaded this file to QC earlier today, however I did not have time to watch the whole thing before we opened so I did not see any presentation issues. This was very unfortunate because if this file had been completely QC'd, we would have caught that the server had issues playing it. We even had a backup DCP (which was made by accident but sure would've come in handy!) that could have been used instead. I understand that sometimes there is simply not enough time to check everything all the way through but it's crucial, when we do have time, to completely check any files that are coming up and prioritize them by the date they are screening.

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

*I took a listen to the preshow levels and in my opinion they can be brought up to 3.7 or 3.8 all around.

**Ingested the new preshows, PSA, etc. from Dropbox

***Built and scheduled the Dog Day Afternoon playlist

****Built and scheduled the League of Their Own playlist, but a few things:
-keep in mind that preshow will start at 9:35am because of the 15 minutes of extra preshow at the beginning
-remember to update the events trailer pack
-we also need a credit offset (its not given with the drive), KDMs open Friday at 6.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

*Ingested the new Avengers Endgame and Toy Story 4 trailers from TrailMix.

Ordering/Receiving (content):

*I checked out our Deluxe account to see when the Dumbo DCP would arrive and found that it was delivered and signed for on Friday 3/22. It hadn't been ingested so I looked around for it and could not find it in any of the usual places. I called Deluxe and requested a replacement to be overnighted, it's scheduled for delivery by 8PM tomorrow. My guess is our original drive was understandably lost in the crazy shuffle of the weekend and, since none of us were aware it had been delivered, possibly walked over to the UPS drop by mistake. We could have avoided this though if the asset tracking spreadsheet had been updated, which looks like it hasn't been used since the beginning of the month. First run tracking is not on the programmer's distribution doc yet, either. Let's make a point to regularly check the Deluxe account for any current shipments/upcoming deliveries.

**John dropped off the League of Their Own DCP, it's been ingested and sent to screen 2,

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:

Distro Doc updated/checked?: I updated the distribution doc with a first run section.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated (only if needed):

*Added start credit time for Dog Day Afternoon

**Updated what I could for A League of Their Own and corrected the format for Dumbo from "Scope" to "Flat."

Showtime boards & recording updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night? : yes
