Presentation Issues: Adjusted 1.78 masking in TH1 for Swim Team tonight, cleaned up DCP 1.78 Christie macro as well, which previously did nothing...

** For some reason, "house lights up" cue in TH1 is also triggering masking preset #4. Will bring this up with DMS, but for now I set preset 4 to flat. If you guys ever notice anything wonky like this please let me know and I'll fix it or get DMS on it.

*** Keep an eye on framing/digital masking, too - if you notice the image in any of the theaters running off the side of the screen or anything like that, please make a note. I'm happy to show anyone how to deal with this if you don't already know how. Lenses drift constantly...

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Finished building playlist for Swim Team event tonight. FYI the movie is 1.78 - added masking and projector cues to reflect that.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Friendly reminder to check mics and set up camera for Swim Team tonight.

Print/video Inspection: QC'ed Next for Autism (Swim Team intro short). We should really try to QC content as soon as it arrives, this one's been on the server for about a week. If we can put eyes on content as soon as possible, we give ourselves more of a fighting chance of fixing something if it's not right. I sent out a couple emails about this short and didn't get a reply about it.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated (only if needed): Updated today's cue sheet with Swim Team. Please be careful when copy/pasting cue sheets from previous days - this was on MV's film schedule.

** Going forward, can everyone please do the following with cue sheets:
- Please check the day's cue sheet for accuracy first thing when you sit down at the computer in 4/6, whether it's a day shift or night shift. Cross reference it with the film schedule and event calendar (maybe we need to print these out and post them above the 4/6 computer?).
- Before you leave your shift, please inspect the following day's cue sheet.
- Confirm that you did both in this section of the blog.

*** I know these things are a headache but as you all know the whole operation relies on their accuracy. The more we double check each other's work the better off we'll be.

**** Mascha if you're reading this would you please update the title of this section to read "Cue sheets updated/checked" and get rid of "(only if needed)"? I think this is always needed. Thank you!

Additional Notes: Let's try to get a head start on event prep whenever possible. I'm more than happy to pitch in on stuff like this but please just communicate it in the blog if you need help from me or anyone else. Even if you're planning on doing QC the day of an event, just note it in the blog so I know not to come in and do the work.

Communication is key! It seems excessive sometimes but we all rely on this blog to keep on top of things. Let's always be looking ahead and checking each other's work. Crack open the blog at the beginning of your shift and by all means fill it up with whatever pops into your head that might be remotely useful for others.

Please note the bad stuff, too - if something went wrong during your shift, or you forgot to do something, just make a note of it! We all learn from our mistakes and holding ourselves responsible for our faults is not just a mark of good character but helps everyone out by flagging things we might avoid in the future.

Everybody's doing great work lately, this place has a lot of kinks to work out but I'm seeing progress every week, and I really haven't been here that long in the scope of things... so thank you all for your efforts!
