Projection Report 4/19


Presentation Issues: A customer for the 6:35 Dumbo (Theater 7) said the image was out of focus. I made a very slight adjustment to the focus but given the lack of sightline into the theater from the booth it was hard to get an accurate adjustment. During the flip I threw up a test pattern and reset the focus on the projector and the image looked crisp after that. Not sure how it drifted off though, maybe the focus changes slightly when we switch inputs on the projector because we have automatic ILS enabled.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordered Detective Pikachu posters, apparently the last time I tried to order them I used the wrong Technicolor account number (I gave them the one from the notes on the projection iMac) I told them our zip code and the name of our theater and they said our correct account number is 1059746. I added this to the notes.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Avengers and 9 to 5 DCPs have arrived and been ingested

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I'm leaving three drives on the cart to be picked up tomorrow

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
