Projection report 5/20 (night)



Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I sent the BOOKSMART feature to servers 3, 4, and 5 for the weekend. We seem to still be waiting on delivery for Aladdin (should be here mid-day tomorrow). I did not build preshows as we are still waiting on trailer assignments and preshow content.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: INSTRUMENT night one. This ran great, everything worked and the film looked & sounded awesome. The q&a ran over (40 minutes total!!) because we had no tickets sold for The Hustle ... until we sold two tickets to The Hustle, and had a bit of a hectic turnaround. It all worked out, though. Q&A was recorded to the booth camera, chairs are back under the screen, mics are charging upstairs. (I made a couple of small changes to the playlist for tomorrow, too)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): received and ingested keys for Avengers, Aladdin, and John Wick 3

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Checked. Do we have an eta on when the Mad Max and Fantastic Planet DCPs should arrive here?

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked, all good for tonight. (I also updated the end times for Final Girls tomorrow)

Marquee updated?: no changes needed for tonight — I'll update both halves of the north side tomorrow

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yep

Projection cart by TH5?: Yep

Nest: Instrument after party — not that rowdy

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
