Projection Report 5/23 (evening)


Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested Booksmart and Pride program preshows to TMS and sent to all servers

*Updated the Booksmart playlist with its own preshow

Print/video Inspection: QC'd Mad Max in theater 2 (CPL has also been sent to theater 1). Looks great, my only concern is the subtitles are quite close to the bottom of the screen, but this shouldn't be a problem with the sightlines in theater 1. Their position onscreen also doesn't make them illegible at all. I also got a credit offset for this, but I'm not going to add it to the playlist since the musicians may not want lights to go up for the credits. In any case, its on a post-it on the iMac.

*I also QC'd Brighton Beach Memoirs, looks and sounds great. Volume level and credit offset are also on a post-it so they're handy when we get to scheduling this one.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added all first run bookings from the events calendar

Maintenance/cleaning: Updated the white board

*Cleared off some space on the iMac

*Deleted any old first run preshows from theater servers

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Ryan checked next week's cue sheets and found some incorrect showtimes. These and the scheduler have been fixed.

Marquee updated?: No changes, just another reminder to add Booksmart to the marquee tomorrow before opening

Posters updated?: Not until we get a Booksmart poster in

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
