Projection report 5/7 (night)



Presentation Issues: We had a customer complaint in the last round of US in theater 7 that the feature had paused. When I checked the status of the playlist in TMS, it seemed to be running as normal. Ben confirmed soon after that the film was running again. I'm not sure what happened or how long the film may have been frozen for. Let's keep an eye on this.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: still waiting on preshow for DETECTIVE PIKACHU — held off on building the playlist until then

Trailer Updates: made a "Trailers_AllAges_Pokemon" trailer pack for Detective Pikachu based on the current trailer assignments

Special Events/ AV set up: THE WARRIORS. This, again, was mostly handled by Dylan S. There was a little meet and greet with the special guest in the lobby downstairs afterwards. Ran without a problem. Feature has been deleted from all projectors.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Posters should be ordered for The Hustle and Tolkien if we don't have any on deck

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received THE HUSTLE. Feature has been ingested to TMS. (Drive case is stored away on the shelf)

** received KDMs for The Hustle and Tolkien, ingested them (note: Tolkien does not have a 7.1 version)

** sent Tolkien, The Hustle, and Detective Pikachu to relevant servers for the weekend

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I began making the cue sheets for the week — start times are in for the weekend

Marquee updated?: Removed Warriors from the north side marquee — replaced it with 'Mildred Pierce / This Weekend'.

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

Nest: TRIVIA! Dylan S had set all of the stuff up, I just monitored volume. Show went great. Equipment has been return to booth 4/6.

Additional Notes: At the end of the night, while trying to make room on the servers, I accidentally deleted Her Smell from projector 7. It should re-send overnight for Thursday's show.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
