Projection Report 6/11 (close)



Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: sent DEAD DON'T DIE to screen 1 for Thursday. (We don't have our trailer/preshow assignments yet, so I did not build the playlist.)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: STOP MAKING SENSE with Skype Q&A. This show ran beautifully. Michael steered the q&a which went off without any problems. A great event, everybody in the audience was in a good mood. Mics are back charging in booth 1, director's chair is under the screen.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received DEAD DON'T DIE (and its KDMs). Feature and keys have been ingested to TMS and servers for Thursday. (keys open Thursday morning)

** Ordered LATE NIGHT from Eclair. As of now it is still "in review".

*** Left the preshows for DEAD DON'T DIE and LATE NIGHT to download from the Dropbox browser site to our portable drive. The files will still need to be unzipped.

**** also received keys for MEN IN BLACK. I think I grabbed the right ones from the email — they sent us a million different versions.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): the Midnight Cowboy drive has been packed up and is ready to leave

Nest: we had an after party for Stop Making Sense in there, featuring our **brand new** video projector set up. It looks good! Michael and John Woods set up and monitored this.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
