Projection Report 6/27 Admin/Open



Presentation Issues: none

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I built A1_Yesterday. All other A1 playlists have been updated as much as possible. We still have a lot of preshow content waiting to come in, as well as Midsommar and Jaws (for 6/4) before everything can be finalized and scheduled.

Trailer Updates: I added TLR_NPP_MrGoodbar to the adult trailer packs and updated the rest according to Kris' assignments.

Special Events/ AV set up: None

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I ingested the latest Once Upon a Time in Hollywood trailer for the new trailer assignments.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Our print of Magnolia arrived today! I brought it up to Booth 1. It's near the rewind table and ready for inspection tomorrow.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: I checked out the new preshow playlists for this week just to make sure everything looks and sounds good with the new format. It does!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: Just helping out Michael purge/rearrange some of the equipment in Booths 1, 2 and 4/6. He's doing the lion's share though.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. I'm working on cue sheets for the coming week, but we have a lot of new content (both in-house, first run, and rep) that's still waiting to come in. Cue sheets will be a work-in-progress over the next couple of days. As of right now, everything is finalized for this weekend through to Monday.

Marquee updated?: Men in Black: International closes tonight. Please replace it with Yesterday on the marquee.

Posters updated?: Switch Yesterday to "now showing" tonight, please!

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projectors off for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: back in 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
