Projection Report 6/7 (admin)



Presentation Issues: Some wonkiness during CHEERLEADER due to navigating the new equipment set up. Also the first round in theater 2 did not auto-start on time because I forgot to switch back to 'scheduled' after teching Rafiki. My mistake. I was able to cue Booksmart so that it ended on time.

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates: Updated trailers on RAFIKI and TOO LATE TO DIE YOUNG

Special Events/ AV set up: BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER 35mm staff screening. It was a really good thing that we did this — a few bumps left to work out on these projectors. The aperture plate seems to be sliding around between reel starts. Also the 1.85 plate on projector 1 is cut pretty harshly (lots of plate garbage on the top and bottom left). Also (this is the worst one), projector 2's lamp will randomly shut itself off if projector 1's lamp is on. This is obviously bad. Billy says it should stop once we change the lamp — he seems hopeful it will arrive today. Otherwise — thread the reels to 7 and have fun.

** we also had a staff screening of PETS 2 in theater 4. Michael ran this. Thanks Michael.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): ordered posters for SHAFT and MIDSOMMAR

Ordering/Receiving (content): we received a DCP drive of SHAFT. Ingested feature to TMS. Drive is labeled and on the shelf.

** do we have tracking on STOP MAKING SENSE? This plays Tuesday and we don't have it yet.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): carried our outgoing drives (including Long Shot and Pikachu) over to the UPS drop

Print/video Inspection: QC'd RAFIKI. I added the end credits lights-up cue and adjusted the volume (I set it at 4.2). Should be good for the weekend.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated

Maintenance/cleaning: Billy changed the bulb in 35mm projector 1 (booth 1) and I observed him. Would like to do this again sometime soon since I did not get to watch the whole process. (We should all probably have a bulb changing lesson with one of the other projectors, too.)

** The 2nd lamp came in towards the end of the day. Billy has installed it in projector 2 — he's planning to come in early tomorrow to focus the lamp and balance the light with projector 1.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked / Updated end times for Sunday (Rafiki) and Monday (Too Late... and the Rocketman that precedes it). Fixed a couple of other end times I caught, too.

Marquee updated?: Took down Pikachu and Long shot, put up Secret Life Of Pets 2 on the front side

Posters updated?: n/a

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: Back in booth 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
