Projection Report 7/16 Open



Presentation Issues: The house lights briefly turned on during Toy Story 4 in TH 1. This happened as Daniel turned on the 35mm projectors for platter training. There's no logical reason this should have triggered the house lights (that I can think of), but we should make sure to turn them on either before we open, or between rounds.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I updated the playlists for Film Feast tonight and The Matrix tomorrow (added credit offsets and lowered the volume cue to 5.0).

Trailer Updates: No updates

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up two mics in TH3 for the film feast intro. Also set up the blu ray player and mic in Hi-Res for the trivia/afterparty.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordered posters for The Nightingale and Blinded by the Light.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested updated keys for Yesterday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: QC'd The Matrix in TH1. Looked and sounded great!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: none

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): No issues with sheets today.

Marquee updated?: Film Feast should come down from the north side and be replaced with Mr. Goodbar.

Posters updated?: No updates

Cleaning lights on for the night?: N/a

Projectors off for the night?: N/a

Projection cart by TH5?: Back in 3/7

Nest: Plex is down again. Michael and Kris are working on it.

Additional Notes: Daniel came in for platter training before his shift. Went great! He got a lot of time to practice both threading and plattering.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
