Projection Report 7/23 Admin & Open



Presentation Issues: The first round in Theater 3 failed to autostart. It got set to manual mode sometime between when I arrived this morning and opening. I was working on our platter system in the Theater 1 booth with Billy, so I did not realize until Ryan walkied me. The preshow started about 5 minutes late, but otherwise there were no issues.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Still waiting on preshow for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Please keep an eye on Dropbox for it and the rest of our incoming content.

Trailer Updates: Got new trailer assignments from Kris, just waiting on content.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received a poster for Downton Abbey. I don't know if we have any plans to book this, so just leave it in 3/7 for now.

Ordering/Receiving (content): After a bit of a hassle from UPS, we received our Once Upon a Time in Hollywood DCP. I ingested it to the TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Didn't get a chance, but there's a couple DCPs waiting to go out.

Print/video Inspection: QC'd River's Edge in Th 1 just to check the volume. Sounded good!

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated entry for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Maintenance/cleaning: None

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. I filled out the rest of the showtimes for next week. Waiting to schedule playlists before I fill out the rest.

Marquee updated?: River's Edge needs to come down and be replaced with Point Break.

Posters updated?: No updates

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projectors off for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: back in 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
