Projection Report 7/25 Admin & Open



Presentation Issues: I'm sure you all heard about our issues with the platter. I'll be sending out a detailed email regarding this tomorrow. Just know that we ran the first 35mm showing of OUATIH reel-to-reel and rebuilt the platter as the reels came down. Everything should be good to run the platter for the second screening tonight and all future screenings. I will of course keep everyone posted.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Created and scheduled all of our new A1 playlists, as well as SE_PointBreak for brunch this weekend.

Trailer Updates: Updated Adult and All Ages trailer packs per Kris King's assignments.

Special Events/ AV set up: None except for the OUATIH premiere.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I've been in Booth 1 since 11 am, but I don't think we received anything today.

Ordering/Receiving (content): I ordered The Nightingale from EclairPlay.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: I got to check the DCP for Once Upon a Time In Hollywood before getting to work on the platter. I set the volume cue, but didn't get to check the credit cue. I think we should look into pushing the cue back to when credits start, not when the crawl starts.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: None

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Everything is scheduled for this coming week. Please check this against the cue sheets when you start your shift!

Marquee updated?: I didn't get a chance to move OUATIH to the front of the marquee, but it needs to move before we open tomorrow.

Posters updated?: OUATIH needs updated snipes. Also, Booksmart, Yesterday, and Sword of Trust need to come down.

Cleaning lights on for the night?: N/a

Projectors off for the night?: N/a

Projection cart by TH5?: Back in 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
