Presentation Issues: Nothing major, I did notice during the first Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 35mm show that the foil tape cues on the print cause the Dolby CP500 to switch to "Dolby SR" from "Dolby Digital" momentarily. For less than a second the sound is quite loud before it auto-switches back to Dolby Digital. This only has a noticeable effect during the cue in the credits, as there is no sound where the other two cues are placed. Don't know if this can be fixed at this point but worth noting.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I grabbed the new credits start time for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I left the lighting cue as is for tonight and made a new playlist (tagged "072719") which is identical except the lighting cue is a few minutes earlier. I scheduled it through Wednesday and input the new time on the cue sheets Sat-Wed as well. I also updated this cue for the 35mm shows since our automated lighting cue is at the same time as the one on the DCP playlist.

*Also got the credit start time for Point Break after theater 2 let out. Updated the lighting cue in the playlist and input the credit start to this weekend's cue sheets.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Two more 35mm shows of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in Theater 1. Went great!

*Just to reiterate: the first foil tape cue (for house lights down) DOES work! Pressing the green start button triggers the house lights MID setting, but the lights go back down on the foil tape cue (during the Sony logo, the first image on the print). So don't worry about the lights, focus on the pay out and take up and make sure they're going properly when you start the show. If you start the show with 8 in the gate you should be able to open the dowser immediately after the motor starts and the shutter will automatically click open and sound will switch to the projector after the leader has passed through the gate. To make sure the sound switches, though, projector #2's breaker has to be turned on.  This is most important for the end of the show because if that breaker is not on, the sound of the tail running through the projector will be heard in the theater. Once again the last two cues (house lights mid for credits and shutter close and house lights cleaning for the end of the show) work beautifully. When you get to the credits, pause the digital playlist so the cues on that don't interfere with the ones from the automation console.

Maintenance/cleaning: For Hollywood 35mm shows, in addition to cleaning the rollers at the beginning and end of the day, I think it's a good idea to clean the gate between each show. Just wipe down the parts that touch the film with a q-tip and alcohol. Always blow out any dust with canned air after a show ends, too.

*Cleared out some posters and filed the marquee letters in 3/7.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked against TMS scheduler and Matthew's schedule for tomorrow and Sunday
