Projection Report 7/6 Open


Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded the Jaws pre-show and added it to the playlist. I wasn't able to get it in time for today's show, but it's set for tomorrow's. For future reference, sometimes when you can't download the whole folder from Dropbox you can just make a folder on the desktop with the same name and download all the DCP files individually to that.

Trailer Updates: The Jaws playlist had the red band Once Upon a Time in Hollywood trailer on it, so I made a separate trailer pack for Jaws with the green band version. I think in general it's a good idea to have a separate trailer pack for events to avoid problems like this in the future.

Special Events/ AV set up: Jaws in Theater 1, brunch screening. This ran itself, however there was a minute-long black clip at the end of the playlist with a cue to switch the projector back to the flat DCP macro, so at the end of the show house lights were at MID and nothing on the screen for a whole minute. I changed this to a 3-second black clip for tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey 35mm -- the print looks very good! I wound all five reels back onto the shipping reels so we'll have enough house reels for Looking for Mr. Goodbar on the 18th, so just needs to get put on house reels before the screening on the 21st, and after the Goodbar screening.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated for Bill and Ted's.

Maintenance/cleaning: Dan and Billy did some more work in the booths -- the make-up bench in 1 is now fully functioning! The only thing left for the platter setup in there is to set an automation cue for lights up during credits. They also made progress on platters in 4, 6, and 2.

*Dan showed me how the cues work and how to use the projector interface when running a show on the platter, and also how we adjust the rollers for reel-to-reel shows. I will share this with the rest of the projection team over my next few shifts. Dan also gave me his phone number in case of any issues during the presentation, its in our Presentation Emergency notes on the iMac.

Marquee updated?: Jaws can come down tonight, since we're out of "T"s it can be replaced with Big

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
