Projection Report 8/12 Close


Presentation Issues: Sound started cutting in and out about 30 minutes into the first Hollywood 35mm show. I misunderstood Dan and Dylan's instructions and opened the changeover on projector 2 before the show started by mistake, thinking the shutter on projector 1 should be closed before I started. I should have looked at Dan's note again to clarify, so I apologize. Dan also told me over the phone that it's normal for a print to have points where it switches to analog sound after it has been run for a while, which I didn't know and was why I thought the sound format switch was some kind of glitch with the sound processor. The 10pm show ran on the print without a problem.

Special Events/ AV set up: Another note about platter shows-- for some reason the first cue isn't being read by the automation system anymore (it's is a redundant cue since we added all the lights down cues to the digital playlist), but you can press "cue input" ONCE on the console and it will display "Waiting for cue 2" on the screen and the show won't be interrupted and the start credit cue will run normally, however the last one still doesn't work.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
