Projection Report 8/16 Admin


Presentation Issues: None so far.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kris came in to watch the NSF shorts this morning. He mentioned that the in house trailers were running a bit loud, so I lowered the volume cue for them slightly in all playlists.

-Built a tentative playlist for the National Live event, still awaiting trailer assignments so it's not scheduled yet.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Yesterday and Spider-Man drives can be returned. Didn't get a chance to walk them over today before we opened and I don't see myself getting one tomorrow either, so I'll take these back during my admin on Monday.

Print/video Inspection: Tech of the 35mm Woodstock print in Theater 1 this morning. Ran through all 10 reels with John in the theater. It looks pretty great. Only issue is the whole film is either split screen or pillarboxed, so keystoning is visible throughout. Because of how the booth is set up, our projectors are not centered and the throw is from a high angle with respect to the screen, so we can't fix this.

-Alexis came in to tech the National Live DCP, also in Theater 1. Looks and sounds terrific.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Up to date

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): No updates needed so far. Double checked for tomorrow.

Marquee updated?: Took down Yesterday and Spider-Man from the front and put up Blinded by the Light and Where'd You Go, Bernadette

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
