Projection Report 8/5 Admin



Presentation Issues: Dylan P. came in at about 5:15PM and turned on the 35mm projector in Booth 1, resulting in the optical failsafe triggering the house lights. I believe he turned them off immediately. This was the only issue during my shift. Please check your inbox and respond to my e-mail about this.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I deleted SE_WestSideStory and its contents from the multiplex.

Trailer Updates: None until 8/7

Special Events/ AV set up: None

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): None

Ordering/Receiving (content): Wet Hot American Summer arrived. I ingested it to the TMS and Theater 2 for this weekend (8/10, 11).

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Both Looking for Mr. Goodbar and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey were picked up by FedEx this morning.

Print/video Inspection: None

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Added info for all first-run and event bookings from now until 9/1.

Maintenance/cleaning: I unpacked the box of Goldberg reels that came in over the weekend and organized them under the rewind table in Theater 1. Another box arrived as well, which I put in Booth 1 to be unpacked and inspected.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Cue sheets for today and tomorrow look good.

Marquee updated?: No updates

Posters updated?: No updates

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projectors off for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: back in 3/7

Nest: Nothing tonight. Trivia tomorrow.

Additional Notes: Keys for The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas arrived and have been ingested. They activate on Wednesday at 8am.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
