Projection Report 8/8 Admin



Presentation Issues: Apparently the fire alarm went off sometime before opening, so I had to run the fire alarm macro and then manually turn off the override in each theater before the cleaning lights would go down. No other issues.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built SE_NeverFear and sent it to T3 for tonight. Also built SE_VIMEO for next Thursday (still needs a full QC with Caryn).

Trailer Updates: Switched our in-house Charlie Brown trailer with a studio trailer in the All Ages trailer packs.

Special Events/ AV set up: None. Just QC for Never Fear.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a poster for The Lighthouse! It's not listed on the First Run doc yet, so let's hold on to it.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Our house-made DCP of The Burning is ingested to the TMS. I sent it to T2 for QC early next week. We also received a DCP of A Boy Named Charlie Brown, which I ingested to the TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: QC'd The Kitchen in T2 during the staff screening. Volume is set at 5.5.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: None

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Reviewed cue sheets with Mascha. Everything is finalized for the coming week.

Marquee updated?: None. Please replace Never Fear tonight with Spoons, Toons, and Booze: After Hours.

Posters updated?: None. Please switch the snipe above The Kitchen to "Now Playing" tonight.

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projectors off for the night?: n/a

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
