Projection Report 9/12 Full Day



Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated and scheduled all of the A1 playlists for the week. Also built SE_Olivia for brunch this weekend.

Trailer Updates: All trailer packs are updated for the week.

Special Events/ AV set up: 35mm screening of The Crow in  TH1 went great! As did the sneak preview of Downton Abbey and the premiere of Hustlers. Unfortunately, the DJ had some technical difficulties and was not able to perform in Hi-Res.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Our posters for Hustlers arrived! Better late than never.

Ordering/Receiving (content): None

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None. The Crow and Night of the Comet are both packed up and awaiting return labels.

Print/video Inspection: None.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned the 35mm projectors in TH1 before/after the screening.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Cue sheets for next week are finished with the exception of Thursday 9/19.

Marquee updated?: Please put The Goldfinch up on the front and take down The Lion King. Also, switch The Crow for  In Fabric on the north side.

Posters updated?: Please update The Goldfinch to say "Now Showing" and take down The Lion King.

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projectors off for the night?: I'm going to leave them in standby for the night. There's a lot of content still moving around for tomorrow.

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
