Projection Report 9/24 Admin



Presentation Issues: No issues with regard to our presentation, but we're having a bit of a problem with the TMS today. There's some kind of communication failure between the TMS and the IMSes. Sam and Michael are still troubleshooting it right now.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled SE_Overtime for the private event tomorrow.

Trailer Updates: No updates

Special Events/ AV set up: Arrived early to set up the rental in TH3. Went off without any issues. Also tested the Chef blu-ray in TH6 for the event on Thursday.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for The Marriage Story, Harriet, and Dark Waters. All are in 3/7. Dylan P, please organize these if you get a chance tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received our DCP of Akira from CineVizion. It's ingesting to the TMS now.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: Inspected Chef in TH6

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Added tracking info for Akira, Joker, Abominable, and Bell, Book, and Candle. 

Maintenance/cleaning: None

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. I built the cue sheets for next week, but not all the content is in yet, so there may be some minor changes before Thursday.

Marquee updated?: No updates

Posters updated?: No updates

Cleaning lights on for the night?: n/a

Projectors off for the night?: n/a

Projection cart by TH5?: Back in 3/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
