Projection Report 9/3 Admin



Presentation Issues: The first screening in Theater 7 today froze during the trailer for The Goldfinch. I ejected/reloaded the playlist which fixed the issue. There was a 5 minute delay, but otherwise no issues.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I built and scheduled the final version of SE_FreaksAndGeeks for tomorrow night. PS_SE_FreaksAndGeeks cuts somewhat abruptly to the logo slide (for the intro), so I added 5 seconds of black in between to soften it a bit.

Trailer Updates: No updates

Special Events/ AV set up: Trivia is tonight. They need the projector/screen set up, a mic + XLR, and a 3.5mm to XLR for their laptop connection.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): None

Ordering/Receiving (content): None

Outgoing/Shipping (content): None

Print/video Inspection: Did a full tech of Freaks and Geeks: The Documentary this morning in Theater 1 with Liz. The playlist is all set for tomorrow. I'll set up the camera for recording the Q&A before we open tomorrow.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: Yes

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes

Marquee updated?: No updates.

Posters updated?: No updates. However: does anyone know where our second It: Chapter Two poster went? I swear we received too, but I can only find the one that's hanging in the lobby. NWB desperately needs our second poster.

Additional Notes: Updated keys for Angel Has Fallen and The Lion King. Also received keys for 2001: A Space Odyssey, which activate tonight at midnight. I'll QC it tomorrow during admin. I also e-mailed Deluxe about our keys for It: Chapter Two.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
