Projection Report 10/13 Brunch



Presentation Issues: There were no presentation issues today.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I double checked The Love Witch playlist and there was no lights mid cue towards the end of the feature even though it has been marked as teched. I dropped one in blindly at 30 seconds after the credits are supposed to start according to the asset tracking doc. I will double check this on the screen tomorrow morning and make any changes. Still missing PS_MN_Witches from playlist.

Started downloading the Zombieland and Parasite preshow files from Evo.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: After Alec's shift tonight, we will have teched all BHFF movies except Swallow (coming in on the 16th) and VFW (which needs keys).

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Print/video Inspection: I updated the corresponding event memos for Spiral and Girl on the 3rd Floor with tech info.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. I got tracking info on Swallow.

Maintenance/cleaning: Deleted "Let the Right One In" and "The Craft" off the server. I still vote for a dedicated external hard drive to hold downloaded features that we have teched but aren't screening for weeks out. (ie. Parasite has been sitting on our very full server for a very long time and we don't even have keys to tech it, so there's no reason for it to be there. All of the BHFF films.)

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked the cue sheets and scheduler for today and Monday. I scheduled Trilogy of Terror for tomorrow in theater 7

Marquee updated?: There are multiple piles of a lot of marquee letters just sitting on the shelves. I wasn't sure if they are supposed to be put away in the dividers? Or cleaned first and then put away? Or if they were left out for a specific reason...?

Posters updated?: N/A

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
