Projection Report 10/17 Admin


Presentation Issues: None in the first round.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Finalized and teched all BHFF playlists and updated event memos.

-Ingested Vincent Price preshow and the updated October NPP card.

Trailer Updates: Updated trailer packs for the week.

Special Events/ AV set up: Opening night of Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in Theater 1.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Outgoing/Shipping (content):Walked some more drives over to the UPS drop.

Print/video Inspection: Teched Swallow in Theater 3 and VFW in Theater 1. Both features are looking and sounding great. Reiterating that we will need new keys for VFW as they expire 3am the morning of our screening. The distributor is working on it.

-Got last minute keys for Zombieland: Double Tap and teched the playlist in Theater 1. I lowered the feature volume to 5.0 but the credit lighting cue was already in a good spot.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated for techs of Zombieland, VFW, and Swallow

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated cues for BHFF screenings, intros, and Q&As.

Marquee updated?: Moved Parasite over to the front and spaced out "Brooklyn Horror Film Festival 10/17-24" across the north side. Added Zombieland: Double Tap to the front as well.

Posters updated?: Put "now showing" tags above Zombieland and Parasite

Cleaning lights on for the night?: N/a

Projectors off for the night?: N/a

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a show playlist for Interstellar (all this needs is a volume cue which can be added once the film is tech'd) Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Taking Off screening in theater 1 went really well Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Jawbreaker keys were downloaded and ingested Downloaded and ingested the "Antonias Line" trailer for the Boxcar Bertha pre-show Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected Taking Off after the screening and placed all reels back on their shipping reels/in their canisters (also reached out the necessary parties at DHL and NBC/Universal to schedule a pickup) Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated information for a few titles this upcoming week Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Removed Taking Off and added letters for  Boxcar Bertha  to the 3
