Projection Report 10/23 Close

Presentation Issues: There were no presentation issues.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: 

-Dropped the new Nov_A card into all playlists

-Updated the 2014 adult trailer pack with a few pieces of content that were missing.

-Teched all new content (with the exception of The Lighthouse preshows 40,20,10) . **We are going to do this from now on. Every piece of content downloaded from EVO needs to have eyes on it. (Williamsburg recently had an issue with a preshow file that appeared to have downloaded correctly all of a sudden lose video in the middle of presentation. ) Can someone please take a look at The Lighthouse preshows?

- I could not ingest the generic all ages Halloween playlist as there were other things still downloading from EVO when I left so I made the Beetlejuice playlist without it, it will need to be added. Question: I followed Kris's trailer list build for the Beetlejuice playlist but Matthew had mentioned in his email that he wanted kid's trailers to be shown for Beetlejuice? Please let the projection team know if we should change that.

Trailer Updates:

-Teched all new trailers for volume and set those cues in the trailer pack.


Special Events/ AV set up: 

BHFF The Girl on the Third Floor went very smoothly. Again, they asked to start doing the Q&A over the credits so I did that manually. I noticed that the Q&A slide looked bad over the guest panel. The Q&A slide generally has the director's name across the bottom (as opposed to the intro slide) so there were projected white lettering all over the guest panel and it was quite distracting looking so I stepped the playlist backwards on the fly and pulled up the intro slide instead. I think that we need to tell 3rd parties in the future that if their guest panel will be seated for the Q&A, they need to be mindful of the way they construct their slide. Either crop it so the image does not fill the bottom 1/5 of the screen or keep the bottom of the slide dark and free of text.

-The Q &A is STILL uploading to EVO (it says it has 2 days to go). Alec, the SD card is still in the back of the mac. Can you please make sure the transfer happened, rename the file, and put the card back in the camera for VFW?

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

-We received a new trailmix DCP.

Ordering/Receiving (content):

-Started pulling NSF2019 closing night content (Neighbor's Window) I only took one folder as there were other things I was trying to pull off EVO tonight that were more pressing. Could we please pull the rest of NSF19 closing content off from EVO over the next couple days.

- I started downloading Night Gallery EVO for this monday's TV Horror screening.

Note: NOTHING I started downloading from or uploading to EVO finished tonight. Alec, would you mind double checking the status of Night Gallery, the NSF19 Neighbor's Window, and the upload of tonight's Q&A, and ingesting them if complete?

Print/video Inspection: n/a

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:
I had to pull some timing off of imdb for Beetlejuice, Halloween, and NOTLD just to have an end time for the cue sheets, I updated the doc with these times, but of course they should be double checked once we ingest/inspect.

Maintenance/cleaning:
I took the trash out in booth 4/6.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):
- Cue sheets have been finished for the week (Tue-Thurs)
- Cue sheets have been checked for Thursday and Friday against Matthew's schedule and the scheduler for those days. I fixed all of the ending times on Monday's cue sheets.
-The entire week has been scheduled
- We do not need to have 4 or 5 sets of initials down for checking the cue sheets. As we have seen over the last week, that doesn't make for less mistakes. If there is a set of initials under "cue sheet checked by" then that is enough. Everyone is responsible for checking the cue sheet and scheduler at the start of their shift for their shift.

Marquee updated?: 
Alec, I'm sorry but I felt too sick to mess with the marquee tonight, could you add Jojo and Lighthouse to the front in the morning and take it off of the 14th st. side?

Posters updated?: 
Jojo and Lighthouse still need "Now Showing" snipes.

- Scheduled Jojo and Lighthouse staff screenings, blocked the theaters and times in the calendar, and sent out email. If you get a chance, could the Friday admin projectionist program the masking to 1:33 in TH7 over top of the 1.78 masking preset for the staff screening of Lighthouse?
