Projection Report 10/25 Admin

Presentation Issues: For some reason the lens macro did not switch to scope at the beginning of Parasite in Theater 2. The Christie touch panel had the scope macro selected but the picture was projecting in flat. All I had to do was manually select the scope macro and this did the trick. It was fixed by the end of the opening logos. I'm going to go over this with Erin so she knows what to do for the next round and I will try and get this lens file back to normal before opening tomorrow.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Bumped up the feature volume in the Jojo Rabbit playlist to 6.0 since it sounded quiet to me at the staff screening.

-Built and scheduled the Halloween playlist.

Trailer Updates: None.

Special Events/ AV set up: Staff screenings of The Lighthouse (Theater 7) and Jojo Rabbit (Theater 3). These went well.

-I sent an email to projection about this, but we will need to advance the preshow manually for Night Gallery (10/28) and Halloween (10/31) since they are both over 30 minutes. I wrote how far to skip ahead on the white board. I think this is better than scheduling them early so we don't cut into flip time. Beetlejuice has the same thing going on, but I scheduled it 2 minutes early because it's the first round.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordered posters for Uncut Gems, Jumanji Next Level, and Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Ordering/Receiving (content): EVO is down for maintenance so Michael will be bringing the Night of the Living Dead DCP by tonight.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Walking all the old drives to the UPS drop on my way out.

Print/video Inspection: Teched Beetlejuice and Halloween playlists in Theater 1, both are good to go.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated with Beetlejuice and Halloween tech info.

Maintenance/cleaning: I'd like to try something that may help with all of the TMS issues we've been having lately. Going forward let's log out of the TMS after using it on any of the booth PCs, and log out on the iMac and TMS rack monitor at the end of the night. Then the opening procedure would be to log in on the rack monitor before logging in on the iMac. My hope is that by not letting multiple sessions run idly the system may be more reliable. We can then also pick a day of the week when we would shut down TMS overnight. I can do it on my closing shift Sunday if the admin on Monday is comfortable with booting it up.

-Made a 1.19 screen file in Theater 1 for The Lighthouse.

-Fixed the Scope screen file in Theater 2, however the projector doesn't seem to be switching to this file properly on automation cues (see above). It's not the biggest deal since the macro still works we just have to select it manually, but I'll take another look at it tomorrow.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Swapped theaters 2 and 5 for the weekend and checked cue sheet and scheduler for today, Saturday, and Sunday. These are all set.

Marquee updated?: Moved the titles on the front around a bit. Took BHFF down from the north side and put up Monday Nite TV Horror next to Beetlejuice.

Posters updated?: I took down the Star Wars poster out front since we already have one hanging in the lobby. The left and right sides of the building are now each half and half with Now Showing and Coming Soon posters; left side is Joker, Parasite, Zombieland on the first row and Irishman, Frozen 2, and Knives Out on the second; right side is Jojo Rabbit and The Lighthouse with the two Marriage Story posters below them. Since Knives Out is not a definite booking we should switch it when a new poster comes in.

Cleaning lights on for the night?: N/a

Projectors off for the night?: N/a

Projection cart by TH5?: Just a reminder, Matthew has asked that we place the cart against the brick wall in the nook right next to the door to Theater 5, across from The Godfather poster.
