Projection Report 10/28 ADMIN



Presentation Issues: The lamp for the projector in TH4 would not stay on while I was testing playback in that house. I cycled the lamp on and off several times and it would come on and then shut off automatically. I eventually got a power supply failure warning as well. DMS is of the opinion that this is a part failure that will not be stable until it is replaced (a few days from now). On my final attempt at cycling the lamp again, I did it from the physical touch panel inside the booth. So far the lamp is staying on. From my understanding we are going ahead with screenings until DMS comes in to service the projector. For the projectionist, this is the only thing you can do should the lamp go out on you: Go to the physical Christie touch panel in booth 4/6, acknowledge all warnings, dismiss the cool down pop-up and cycle the lamp off and back on, sometimes it will take a couple cycles. If you are in the middle of playback with an audience, don't forget to pause the playlist first.

Special Events/ AV set up: I did a final teching of the Vincent Price show, adjusted masking and lenses and putting in some extra slugs where needed so that absolutely everything is automated and ready to go. Basically, preshow is 1:85 going into the first slide for Caryn's intro. The art slide "preshow" is in 1:33 with masking and lens change which then goes back into 1:85 for the Q&A. Both changing into scope for the feature.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received more Ford v. Ferrari posters

Ordering/Receiving (content): We got some circuit boards for the Christie projector.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): We got a (backup?) DCP of NOTLD

Print/video Inspection: n/a

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: got tracking info on Annie, updated the asset tracking doc

Maintenance/cleaning: We are starting a week-long deep clean of Booth 1!

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
