Projection Report 10/5 Close
Presentation Issues: There were no presentation issues. Everything ran smoothly.
Preshow Clips/Playlist: I ingested the NPP_TVHorror preshow clip from EVO and finished building out the playlist for Monday's screening of Bad Ronald. I also updated the Over the Edge playlist with the NPP logo slide as per the event memo, before and after the feature. I have the slide pausing during the intro, the projectionist will then need to advance and play the next clip which is a black slug with all 35 mm cues firing, I set another server pause within the slug so that when the print is done, you will just have to advance to the next cue and push play to get the logo back up. This is the best way I could think of to get the slide back up on the screen quickly.
Trailer Updates: n/a
Special Events/ AV set up: The Roy Cohn Q&A went well. The volume wasn't mixed as optimally as I liked, due to the host changing the volume settings after the initial intro. Next time I will be sure to be stationed right at the mixer as the transition happens. All mics, cables, the Yamaha mixer, and chairs have been returned to their respective homes in 4/6 and the TH 1 hallway. I was unsure of the protocol for the memory card so I left it inside the camera.
Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
Ordering/Receiving (content): I unzipped VFW (which ate up so much processing power that the projection Mac was virtually useless for over an hour - does that always happen?). I did not ingest it onto TMS, partly because I ran out of time but also, we are at 91% capacity on the server.
Outgoing/Shipping (content): I deleted Akira since the keys expired tonight anyway and we had the staff screening. I almost deleted Villains but wanted to double check.
Print/video Inspection: I dropped TV Horror (Bad Ronald) into TH 3 and teched it. The aspect ratio is 1.33. I set the masking to 1.33, and chose the 1.78/66/37 combined lens setting. The sound is super tinny and almost uncomfortable on the higher end (like when dishes clatter, etc). I set the volume to 5.0. The video itself is fine and I set the lights to come up 10 sec into the credits since they are only 45 seconds long.
