Presentation Issues: Marriage Story 35mm continued gathering scratches — the image now also, strangely, seems to have developed a tilt. It appears as if the projector has been shifted slightly to the right, giving the image a keystoning effect it did not have yesterday. I don't know how this would be possible, but, I also do not remember the image for this film having any kind of a tilt before today. I took a video of this in the end credits, where it was most noticeable, and sent it to Karen/Michael for review. (see also: the focus issues Karen mentioned in her own blog)
     Taking all of these factors into consideration Matthew decided to end 35mm screenings of Marriage Story. The last round in theater 1 played from DCP.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I tried downloading the Nov B card from EVO, but it did not seem to be finished uploading. We need that and the "Christmas" trailer before building updated playlists.

* ingested the Ford v. Ferrari preshow clips to TMS. Also sent the Ford feature file to projectors 1 & 3 to get a jump on Friday's content needs.

** updated all Marriage Story 35mm screenings to DCP in the scheduler for the rest of the week

*** deleted Guardians of the Galaxy from projector 3 to make room

Trailer Updates: I did not build the all ages trailer pack for 112119, since it also needs the "Christmas" trailer

Special Events/ AV set up: Everybody's Everything in theater 3. Un-hosted one-off show, all-DCP. No problems. I deleted the feature file from projector 3 after the show to make room.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I didn't have a chance to walk our outgoing drives over to the UPS drop today. Apologies. They are starting to pile up.

Print/video Inspection: QC'd the Ford v. Ferrari preshow (20min and 10min) in theater 6. Looks good! The Ken Anger clip that opens the 20min section is a little jumpy, though I'm assuming that's in the original file. No problems otherwise.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Finished building out the cue sheets for next week. Once we build the playlists and schedule them we can plug in the end times.

Marquee updated?: I attempted to change the north side marquee, but I was having trouble getting the marquee pole to grip the letters — I think it's a combination of the very, very cold air drying out the suction cup and the top half of the pole bending from being too loose at the top (a problem which has been getting worse over the last few weeks). Do we have a small wrench anywhere that can tighten that top screw? I can't find our everyday tools. In any case, I pulled letters for the update ("Nitehawk Shorts Fest / Closing Nite / Monday") and they are sitting in booth 3/7 on the cabinet.

Nest: Nitehawk Staff Game Night in the bar! We hooked a Nintendo Switch up to the projector. Screen/projector controllers have been put back away in their hiding spot.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
