Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content):
ET DCP came in the mail today, as well as a mystery package for Michael. I checked to make sure the ET drive mounted. I will ingest it after we take Hook off the server on Sunday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:
I partially broke down Little Women to inspect it, see my additional notes below.
Teched Hook for this weekend's brunches for volume and lighting cues.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:
Added ET and updated Hook.

Maintenance/cleaning:
I did a slightly deeper cleaning of P1 in TH1 then the quick daily. I took the gate and trap out to clean them, scrubbed all sprockets and checked each roller within the projector. I also added a little more oil to the intermittent. Did a thorough cleaning of the DTS reader.
Removed the shutter guard and adjusted the timing a bit.

Saturday's cue sheet and scheduler checked, updated with credit timing for Hook.

Additional Notes:
I did notice that there are long runs of a slight white line that intermittently shows up on the very left edge of the image. After finding an online transcript of an MIT lecture series on 35 mm projection and proper inspection, I panicked and thought we (meaning I) had caused an emulsion side scratch from improper threading of the roller right above the DTS reader. I watched the film path like a hawk for the remainder of the screening and then took down reel 7 and part of reel 6 looking for scratches. There is not a single scratch on the print, base or emulsion side. Looking back on my inspection pictures that I took I did find out that the cyan-dyed optical soundtrack is printed differently from reel to reel of this print. I looked back at my pictures of Marriage Story and also some examples of cyan-dyed optical soundtracks online and in our projection text books from movies with a flat aspect ratio within the last 10 years. The Little Women print has a white line (sometimes of varying widths) in between the soundtrack and the image. I could find no other examples of soundtracks printed this way. They all have black "masking" around the image to include the space between the image and the sound track. I am attaching some pictures for reference. Using tape on the port window to hide this white line creates obvious and unsightly shadowing on the image. So I will program a special masking setting in our 1.78 preset and then hide any keystoning spillage with tape. I have been coming in early and staying super late to tech in an empty theater the past few days, I need a night where I leave at regular time but I will fix this during the weekend at some point.
