Trailer Updates:
*In light of the customer review forwarded to us by Matthew, I took the time to listen to the trailers in all of the theaters (as well as the features) ahead of opening. I did not find the volume to be too loud in any theaters. However, I was *mortified* to find that we are playing the Star Wars trailer from April in the adult pack and from August in the All Ages pack. I pulled the latest Star Wars trailer from the latest trail mix (from October, the November file only came to us in Scope) and subbed this out in both trailer packs. It is a dramatically different trailer and we should be playing the latest trailers (especially for highly anticipated movies like Star Wars). Whenever we get trail mixes, please check file dates for any movies trailers that we are holding over into the next week.
There is also a newer file for Uncut Gems with a date of 11/19, I also put this on TMS, if someone would like to take a look at it and sub it in, if applicable.

Additional Notes:
* I have been curious about a blog post from last week in regards to the Fidelio listening devices, so I took most of the day to test various audio tracks and the closed captioning devices as well. This also put me in the theaters a lot to listen to volume. None of which I found to be too loud.

1) There was mention of not being able to find assisted listening tracks for Parasite. According to its file name, Parasite is NOT supposed to have any assisted listening or audio description track. So I was surprised to find that one was found at all (even on channel 2a). Firstly, I have printed a DCNC chart and hung it in booth 4/6 in case anyone has any questions about the naming convention of DCP files. After the audio mix (5.1 or 7.1) you will see "HI" = assisted listening or "VI" = audio description if those tracks are included
2) I found a audio track for Parasite (TH6) on channel 2b this time. When Ford v. Ferrari was playing in the same theater, I found this extra track to be on channel 2a.
3) All of the rest of our features have the appropriate track on the appropriate channel.
4) I could NOT get descriptive audio to work for any film showing in TH5. Also TH5 is slow to connect for everything: captiview and fidelio (channel 1A). In fact, I almost gave up and thought that we were getting no fidelio signal at all, it takes almost 5 minutes to connect. Whether or not there is a solution to this (a repeater of some kind?) we should all be aware that TH5 takes a few minutes to connect and the descriptive audio doesn't work at all.
5) I think we should sporadically test our devices, but more importantly, I think checking the audio tracks and the ccap should be part of teching features in general. Take one device of each with you into the theater when checking the feature to get lighting and volume cues. Post any anomalies up on the whiteboard in 4/6.
