NPP Projection Report Monday 1/20 OPEN Chris



Presentation Issues: None.

Preshow Clips/Playlist:
-Built a new playlist for LTROI feast with the new feature file included, new SPL is titled SE_LetTheRightOneInNEWDCP_Feast_012120. I placed the lighting cues in the same timecodes as the previous SPL since the runtime was the same down to the second.  I slotted this new SPL into the scheduler, but maintained the old one safely tucked away, same name without the "newdcp" bit,  so if need be just switch 'em back out.

-Regarding the older LTROI playlist I found a Full lights cue set to fire 2 mins into the feature. I removed it. Think it was meant to fire toward the end of credits.

-LTROI DCP (feature file is named LetRightSwed_FTR-1_F_ arrived, was promptly ingested and beamed on over to TH3.


-A white A/V input wallplate arrived for Michael.

-The EXPLORERS print was safely handed over to DHL. Safe travels lil fella.

Print/video Inspection:

-LTROI will need to be re-teched tonight. Unfortunately the new feature file is, going by the file name, apparently formatted into the TV-friendly 16x9 1.78 flat ratio. LTROI should be in Scope as the previous file was. I would guess this means this new DCP won't have the subs we're looking for. If it does, we will have to choose between showing the film with the right image but the wrong subtitles or the right subs with a cropped image. Hopefully just a mislabeled file, if not someone should check for a gas leak at Magnolia HQ.

-Alec here are two links to verify subtitles. This first one, http://let-the-right-one-in.com/woofy/Subtitle_Comparison.html , is very precise going affected line by affected line with time codes but this second one, http://iconsoffright.com/news/2009/03/let_the_wrong_subtitles_in_to.html, has screen grabs for comparison's sake and will probably make the task a lot easier. So long as you see one instance of the correct subtitles being present it should mean the whole thing is okay.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
