To do this evening/ was completed:

Sent Call of the Wild to T6 to be teched when keys open at midnight tonight.

Michael is loading a homemade DCP of Coming to America onto the Projection Mac Server. Chances are it won't be done by close.

Michael may also be coming by with a couple reels of Freeway for us to run through our projectors.

Get started on next week's cue sheets. I printed a copy of the film schedule.

Special Events/ AV set up: Trivia in Hi-Res tonight with the usual setup.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ingested TLR_NPP_Striking, but did not get a chance to look at it.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Call of the Wild drive came in. I ingested it since keys open at midnight.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Walked our outgoing drives to the UPS dropoff.

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning: I tested all four lenses on the 35mm projectors in 1 and 4. There is still some work to be done but things are overall looking very good in my opinion, except for the scope lens on P2 in 1 which may well need to be replaced. Sent details to Michael and Karen.

-Tightened up some loose screws on the Captiview devices.

-ILS files in 2, 4, and 5 have been misaligning. We are not sure why, but if you do notice bleed on the curtain please note the values of the lens offset and do your best to fix it on the touch panel if the feature has not yet started. If you do change something, make sure you note both the value the offset was at when it was misaligned and what you changed it to.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked schedule for tomorrow and Thursday. Also took the first round Birds of Prey in T6 off cue sheet and scheduler for Wednesday since it's been bought out so DMS can work in the theater.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
