NPP Projection Report Monday 2/10 OPEN+CLOSE CHRIS



To do this evening/ was completed:
-Keys for Sonic arrived in the KDM gmail but I neglected to pull them in, please do.

-As of this writing The Warriors is slowly trundling onto DCPII from EVO, has been all day, please ingest, add it to the SPL I built,  and send it to T6 for teching.

-Due to our recent roubles making sure updated SPLs are in the screens that need them, please make sure the SPL with all cues in place of Portrait is on screen 2

Presentation Issues: None!

Preshow Clips/Playlist:
-Built SPLs for Warriors (SE_TheWarriors_021220), which is still missing its feature.

 - Built complete SPL for Casablanca (SE_Casablanca_021320). Just needs cues.

-SPL for Portrait of a Lady on Fire is built and ready to go, has a 1 min welcome card on the front as well as a 30 second BLACK on the end as the credits are very brief, the sort that I imagine a lot of people sitting thru due to the hammer blow that is the movie's finale and they end abruptly in silence. It is not at all the kind of movie you want to get smacked with florescent lights the moment it's over.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
-Poster arrived for Once Were Brothers, it's slotted top left with Promising Young Woman

Ordering/Receiving (content):
-Back to the Future, Sabrina, and Blue Nightmare Roden-ah, I mean Sonic the Hedgehog all arrived in the mail today. They all mount just fine and have been tucked away for later ingestion.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):
-Walked the 1/31 TrailMix and Moonlight to the UPS drop-off.

-Deleted Ace in the Hole and packed up the drive it came in on.

Print/video Inspection:
-Casablanca has been ingested and is on it's way to T1 for teching tomrrow AM. Still no keys for this.

-Tech'd Portrait of A Lady on Fire set volume at 5.5, built light times into the playlist and added info to tracking doc.  Every frame of it look incredible on our screens, tho I am concerned that the bulb in T2 may be beginning to dim.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:
-Added a slot for The Photograph in our first-runs, updated info for the films that arrived today and tech info for Portrait of A Lady on Fire

Maintenance/cleaning:
-Slightly cleaned up the very stuffed DCPII drive, had to nix something so as to accommodate The Warriors in the first place so I deleted 101 Dalmatians, August at Akiko's and one of the unused versions of Interrogation.

 -Did some dust vaccing on thenstacks in 4/6

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):
-Started Cue sheets for week 2/14-2/20, put in titles and ticketed showtimes for the coming weekend.

-Scheduled Casablanca for Thursday.

-With an SPL of Portrait built, I scheduled the empty slots it is meant to fill this coming Wednesday and Thursday.

Marquee updated?:
-Ace in the Hole came down and Back to the Future went up following the wording specified in the Dept. weekly review.

Posters updated?:
-As I mentioned above, a poster for Once Were Brothers showed up and it opens fairly soon (2/28) but our cinema is so packed with cinema right now there wasn't really anything to take down.

Additional Notes:
-So everyone is aware, today Warner Brothers officially changed the title of Birds of Prey to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. The printed sheets outside the theatres should definitely reflect this, do we want to put this on the marquee as well? I'll set aside letters for the opener if it's decided that's what we wanna do.

-Ts4+6 closed early tonight due to no-shows, I may have forgotten to take T4 off of manual before shutting her down for the night, opener please double check. Obviously if servers revert to auto upon being powered on, disregard.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
