NPP Projection Report - Wednesday - 5/26



To do this evening/ was completed: 

Presentation Issues: The lights at the back of theater 2 (the three closest to the booth port window) are too bright and create a harsh shadow on the top of the screen when in the "House Lights FULL" macro. Several servers and Gil have brought this to my attention but I am not sure if the wrong bulbs were used or if the intensity of the lights can/need to be adjusted to keep this from happening at the beginning and end of shows. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist:

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Pre-show for Jurassic Park in T6 did not start as scheduled. Started manually and forwarded the playlist so it ended according to the schedule. The rest of the screening went smoothly.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received a new TrailMix DCP for the week of 5/28.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Alec corresponded with Jim from NWB about keys and a DCP for Port Authority. We are expecting a DCP of our own to arrive here some time tomorrow. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Outgoing DCP drives were picked up by UPS this afternoon.

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Waiting on content for Port Authority before cue sheets/schedules can be completed for the upcoming week. 

Marquee updated?: Letters for new releases have been organized behind 3/7.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a show playlist for Interstellar (all this needs is a volume cue which can be added once the film is tech'd) Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Taking Off screening in theater 1 went really well Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Jawbreaker keys were downloaded and ingested Downloaded and ingested the "Antonias Line" trailer for the Boxcar Bertha pre-show Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected Taking Off after the screening and placed all reels back on their shipping reels/in their canisters (also reached out the necessary parties at DHL and NBC/Universal to schedule a pickup) Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated information for a few titles this upcoming week Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Removed Taking Off and added letters for  Boxcar Bertha  to the 3
