NPP Projection Report Friday 6/11



To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Preshow content for the 7PM In the Heights in T1 was bleeding over the top and bottom of the screen. The projector touch screen read: “Critical Alarm: Peripherals.” Alec was called to assist in troubleshooting. At his direction I rebooted the projector but the issue remained. Jerry from DTS was also contacted and suggested another reboot or manual adjustment of the flat lens files. Because I was pressed for time I reloaded the preshow playlist to no avail and forwarded it to the trailers, where I noticed the scope files were playing without error. The movie ended 12 minutes behind schedule as a result of this malfunction but went smoothly despite the preshow ordeal. Alec was contacted again and will readjust the flat lens files in T1 tomorrow morning to prevent this from disrupting future shows.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
