NPP Projection Report 8/25 Admin



To do this evening/ was completed: Suicide Squad poster can come down, as can the text from the front of the marquee, tonight. Candyman can go up on the marquee and the poster placed in a "Now Showing" case. You can put The Card Counter in the "Coming Soon" spot.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a playlist for the event in Theater 5 tomorrow.

Ingested KDMs for all remaining first run features for this coming weekend. Only keys we need now for this week are Shang-Chi.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Prepared and teched the preshow slideshow for tomorrow night's event. I also set up the house music connection, tested it, and double checked the feature in the theater as well. Should be completely ready to go for tomorrow night.

Tested the DigiBeta player in Theater 1, it looks like it's working fine. Will check again with John Woods next week.

Maintenance/cleaning: Upgraded software on the projectors in Theater 2 and Theater 6.

I checked the sound changeover on the 35mm projectors in Theater 4 again, this time with film running on both projectors, and the sound would not switch between projectors when I hit the changeover button, so this is still very much an issue and will need to be addressed when someone comes in to look at the lamp.

Replaced a lightbulb in theater 5.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
