NPP Projection Report Wednesday 9/1



To do this evening/ was completed: Mulholland Drive can come down from the 14th street side of the marquee, and the Poet's Table text for 9/4 can go up in its place. The marquee should read:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built/scheduled the Roadrunner playlist.

Special Events/ AV set up: Mulholland Drive one night only screening in Theater 1 tonight. Fully automated and ready to go.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Roadrunner DCP drive came in, feature has been ingested.

Maintenance/cleaning: Since The Card Counter has a 1.66:1 aspect ratio, I checked the 1.66 lens file and masking in each house. The lens file is set in all houses, and the masking is set in all except 5, which does not have enough curtain to go past 1.78, so if the film is programmed for this theater it will have to be shown with 1.85 masking. I also made a playlist pack for the Card Counter SPL called "1.66_Lens/Masking Change."

Additional Notes: There were leaks in auditoriums 2 and 4 from the rain this evening. Moisture on the wall of booth 2 was dripping down by the A/C and ladder on the brick. A leak started in the entryway of auditorium 4 by the thermostat (beneath the fabric trim over the strip lights, not from the ceiling). I was unable to put the letters up on the marquee due to the rain. I will put them up tomorrow morning.

*Edit: additional leaks in 5. Working closely with MOD to maintain the water as it leaks into the building from the 14th street side wall.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
