NPP Projection Report 10/15


To do this evening/ was completed: Keep an eye on the lights down cue at the start of trailers in Theater 7.

Last round of Shang-Chi in Theater 5 is a manual start.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Have built and scheduled playlists for all NewFest screenings through the 19th, will continue building/scheduling these throughout the weekend.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set the Yamaha mixer, 2 mics, 2 mic stands, and all needed cables under the screen in Theater 3 for NewFest intros/Q&As. The stands are on the left hand side, the mixer/mics/cables are sitting on top of an old speaker on the right hand side, just next to the masking motor. When returning this equipment to below the screen after the events please take the time to coil the cables neatly and make sure nothing is in the way of the masking motor. Help us all run these events smoothly without having to untangle all the cables during setup.

Connected cables for NewFest preshow music to the Non-Sync input on the CP750s for Theaters 2 and 3. The cable for 3 is connected to the booth PC, and since there's no PC in 2 we'll have to use the projection laptop. The cable in 2 is also pretty short so I brought in the bar stool we had in booth 1 and placed it behind the rack to set the laptop on. We're logged in to the NPP Spotify account on the laptop and Desmond logged into his personal account on the Booth PC in 3/7 in case there is any overlap of the preshows.

Will send an email with a few more notes about the NewFest screenings this weekend, mostly just timing stuff to be aware of and which Spotify playlists to use.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Got posters for The Harder They Fall.

Organized the caddy and placed a few more posters in the trivia section.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Got (two) drives for Madonna: Truth or Dare and a backup drive for Dawn of the Dead. Ingested Truth or Dare, when we get closer to the screening I'll ingest the Dawn of the Dead backup.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Placed the Truth or Dare drive I didn't use on the outgoing shelf.

Print/video Inspection: Tech checked the House of Wax print in Theater 1, it looks and sounds great. Ran the last reel through to time credits.

Teched Truth or Dare and the Future is Queer and Sense & Spirituality programs for NewFest. Tech info added to the spreadsheet for the fest.

Spot checked NewFest playlists, they're good to go.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
