NPP Projection Report 10/22


To do this evening/ was completed: Ingest The Addams Family to Theater 2's server.

Ingest the Night of the Living Dead DCP from the VHS Vault drive once the conversion has finished.

Keep an eye out for Dawn of the Dead keys, I wrote to Deluxe about it through the KDM email.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Due to the tight flip time after the Q&A in Theater 2 tomorrow afternoon, I made an alternate playlist of Dune for the following showtime. This playlist has 5 minutes less preshow and lights up for trailers. This means the preshow starts at 1:50 instead of 1:45 and is now scheduled, all other timing remains the same, except lights will not go down until the movie starts at 2:24. I let Emily and Gil know and they approved the change.

Updated the French Dispatch playlist with the first run preshow clip Kris uploaded.

Built and scheduled the Last Night in Soho playlist for 10/28.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Took another look at the mixer in Theater 1 for the live band setup to refresh myself on the tutorial I had with Michael.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The print of Gothika came in.

Recieved drives for Last Night in Soho and The Addams Family (on a combo drive from Paramount with a few other titles on it)

John dropped off a hard drive with screening files for Night of the Living Dead. This included a ProRes file of the movie with no music, I began a conversion of this file to DCP, which can be ingested to the Theater 1 server when it's done.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): FedEx picked up both prints.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the Gothika print, it is in fantastic condition.

Tech checked the Fear print in Theater 6. The print looks very good however during the tech Cristina and I noticed a very loud buzz coming from the rear surround speakers during quiet scenes. I'm not sure why I didn't notice this when I ran film on there the other day, I was using the Digital soundhead that day and i bypassed it today since Fear has no digital soundtrack, so that may be why. However I did test the analog soundtrack on that print the other day, too. In any case this ruins any plan of using Theater 6 as a backup for the 35mm screenings next week. I wrote DMS about this and they are working on scheduling a visit for Monday, hopefully they will be able to resolve at least the Theater 4 issue for next week's screenings. Gregg seemed to think it should be fairly easy to resolve.

Gothika did not arrive in time fo us to take a look at it. William, I may ask you to run a reel or two of this on Tuesday for Desmond, if DMS is working in Theater 4 on Monday.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
