NPP Projection Report 10/25

To do this evening/ was completed: Jerry from DMS was on site with a coworker to fix the sound/changeover issue in 4/6. Update: They fixed the sound switch issue in 4 but had to troubleshoot the dowsers rising/dropping in sync with the changeover cue; Jerry took a part from a projector in 2 to try to fix this. Tested reel 1 of Fear in 6; Jerry switched channels from 7.1 to 5.1 and there was still no sign of any buzzing noise from the rear surround speakers. Jerry left around 4:30, said he would have to return to continue working on the changeover/dowser problem in 4.

Special Events/ AV set up: Tested mics in 4/6. All mics are functional and levels are good (vol 8.0). XLR cables are attached to the backs of the sound processors (in the booths) for both auditoriums. Replaced old batteries in the spotlights and spotlight remote for 6.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received a 35mm print of Dogtown and Z-Boys and a DCP of The Muppet Movie.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Tested Night of the Living Dead DCP in 1; the feature is scoreless but all the dialogue is synced and picture looks great. Credit/crawl timestamps and additional DCP information was written in the asset tracking log.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
