NPP Projection Report 10/27

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: There is some picture falling off the screen (right hand side) in 2. I noticed this the other day when I stayed to watch The French Dispatch, specifically  during moments when the film is cropped to 2.39:1, though, much of it is in 1.37:1 so it's harder to see with the pillar boxes on the sides of the frame. I tried maneuvering the projector to center the flat image, however, this throws off the other films being shown in scope (Dune is also showing in this theater) and creates falloff on the opposite side of the screen. A/C interlock switch in 1 dropped and had to be taped up to allow the lamp to strike; Emily also noticed one of the wall lights (left hand side) flickering during the pre-show. The light had stopped flickering by the time I got to the auditorium to inspect it but I will continue to monitor it further.

Projection Admin 7/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
