NPP Projection Report 10/29 Open


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: This doesn't count as a presentation issue since I noticed it as soon as I got in this morning, but I got the A/C interlock warning in Theater 1 again. I removed the duct and re-taped the interlock into the upright position, this time with just a small piece of gaff tape on the small metal arm that holds it up, not on the flag itself. Now that it is taped more securely in position we shouldn't be getting this warning anymore. I switched the projector off and on again to see if the warning popped up (this warning will always come up as soon as the projector turns on) and it didn't, so this should be all good. For the weekend, though, when you get in for the opening shift please check the VNC viewer for Theater 1 and briefly strike the lamp before the first round starts so there’s time to address it if the warning does come up.

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Schedules/content checked over for the whole weekend. Everything is loaded where it should be and all IMS servers have the green storage icon (meaning they're not too full).

Built and scheduled the Eternals playlist.

Trailer Updates: Ingested trailers for Ammonite and Da 5 Bloods and added Ammonite to the French Dispatch playlist and Da 5 Bloods to Dune, No Time to Die, and The Harder They Fall.

Special Events/ AV set up: Teched the Addams Family playlist for the intro tomorrow morning. It's all set.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the drive for Eternals, ingested to TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): FedEx picked up the Gothika print.

Print/video Inspection: Tech checked the print of The Ring in Theater 1 with Cristina. It looks and sounds good, however it is a bit more worn than usual for such a new print. Nothing major, though. I also ran the last reel to time the credits.

Teched the Last Night in Soho and The Velvet Underground playlists. All good, heads up I raised the volume for Soho to 5.5 in the playlist.

Re-ingested No Time to Die to Theater 6 and played it. Ingest and playback were completely normal.

Looked at the Addams Family feature in Theater 2 with Desmond, it's good to go.

Finished inspecting Dogtown & Z-Boys.

Inspected the first three reels of Foxy Brown. It's in pretty good condition, a bit dirty/scratched and there are a few splices in each reel, but it's an old print so no surprise really.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added tech info for Last Night in Soho, The Velvet Underground, and The Addams Family. Also added runtime/credit and crawl offset/sound type for Eternals.

Maintenance/cleaning: I took a look at the bleed in Theater 2. DMS does actually need to look at this because the lens adjust is not working at all, I couldn't offset the image to the left or to the right. I nudged the projector over and I think it's in a good spot for both flat and scope, there's no bleed with either setting.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes, checked for tonight and through the weekend. Updated credits timing for The Ring and Eternals.

Marquee updated?: Added Last Night in Soho to the front, took down Fear from the 14th street side and put up The Muppet Movie. Also added "(1991)" and the second date to Addams Family on the 15th street side.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
