NPP Projection Report 12/10 Admin/Event/Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Ingested Nightmare Alley and Spiderman: No Way Home.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested the West Side Story and Christmas preshows and added them to their respective playlists.

Built a playlist for the West Side Story event tonight and scheduled it.

Trailer Updates: Ingested special event trailers and made new trailer packs.

West Side Story removed from T4 after event concluded.

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up a mic in TH4 and double checked the angle of the spots. All set up for the intro tonight. I left a mic stand under the curtain as well. Also looked at the feature with Michael, the DMS tech sent by Disney. He was here for the screening, too. Mic and mixer returned to 4/6.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested keys for It’s a Wonderful Life, they open Monday at 8am.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home drive came, the DCP has been ingested to TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Cleared what content I could from IMS servers, and deleted the Eternals show playlist and DCP from TMS and all servers.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the Last Boy Scout print and started inspecting Malice. The copy of Last Boy Scout we received is a work print; it has a mono soundtrack and there are no end credits. I’ll check out the end of the last reel at some point this weekend to see what the ending is like, but it looks like it just cuts to black at the end of the movie and there’s a bunch of blank film as placeholder for the credits. The print is pretty beat up too, there were a few tears (already repaired) in each reel and scratches through out, some parts tougher than others. The print was very dusty as well.

Malice was in better shape though the splices at the heads and tails have so far all needed to be redone, and had to repair one tear in the second reel head leader which was held together with a single piece of masking tape (something tells me this print hasn’t been touched in a while…).

Looked at both prints on screen, too. Unsurprisingly Last Boy Scout showed its wear on screen, but was certainly a watchable copy. Since it’s mono version of a stereo mix, I had to crank both faders all the way. Malice looked and sounded good.

Teched the Serendipity playlist, all set for the weekend.

Jack looked at Elf in TH2, also all set.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, added key info for It’s a Wonderful Life and Moonstruck, and tracking for the Fun print (screening late Jan.).

Maintenance/cleaning: Michael also fixed the issue with the bathroom PA, he replaced the speaker wire to the amp.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Got a call from Emily before opening that the times for the West Side Story event in TH4 were wrong. I checked the event memo again and updated the times. When I filled the cues in for this a few days ago though and checked yesterday morning the memo had a 6:15 showtime, and I hadn’t seen the change to 7:15. I also had to change the first and third rounds in 4 and the first round in 3 as the times for those were changed as well, though I didn’t get a new film schedule with this change. I quickly updated the cues before they were printed and fixed the schedule.

Checked cues against Film Bot and the TMS scheduler for the weekend. They are all set.

Marquee updated?: Yes, letter for Don't Look Up and Being the Ricardos.

Posters updated?:

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projectors off for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by TH5?: Yes
