NPP Projection Report 12/15 Admin/Event


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built playlists for the coming week. All preshow/trailer content is in with the exception of the updated How to Order PSA. I used a placeholder clip just to have accurate timing on the schedule and will replace it with the updated PSA as soon as it comes in. Scheduled Friday-Sunday.

Ingested the Keanu preshow and built a Matrix Resurrections playlist (without the feature).

Trailer Updates: Ingested trailers for Morbius and Turning Red to add to next week’s trailer packs.

Special Events/ AV set up: Built the playlist for the private event in TH6 tonight, and hooked up the PC to the sound processor for the Spotify playlist.

Malice screening in TH1 went well. The jitter/focus issue with projector #2 appeared again at the start of the movie, but I was able to tighten the gate between reels and resolve the issue. When this problem came up initially I played with both the gate and the trap, so I thought the issue was a combination of the two and tonight played with the trap first, which improved it but didn’t completely fix it, and then tightened a screw on the gate mount which resolved it. So now I know to regularly check if this screw is loose before threading to avoid the issue happening again. I showed William what to look for and how to fix it as well.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): My IMoxie order of 2 Being the Ricardos one sheets finally came. Since we’re losing the movie this Friday I just put one in the archive tube.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested keys for How the Grinch Stole Christmas, they open tomorrow night at midnight so this can be teched on Friday, as can Christmas Vacation.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The Last Boy Scout print got picked up.

Cleared Dune playlist and feature from all servers. After C’mon C’mon comes off the TMS tomorrow, I will ingest The Matrix Resurrections.

Print/video Inspection: Teched the Nightmare Alley playlist, it’s all set.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, deliveries for Eyes Wide Shut and Fun prints have been delayed to tomorrow.

Maintenance/cleaning: Checked with DMS on the orders I’ve made. The take-up belting shipped today, and Goldberg reels are shipping on the 23rd (just in time for all the 35mm screenings in Jan.), and the order of two 30SP and one 16L bulbs should ship that day too. They also placed an order for another round of backup bulbs for every projector. Since it took so long to get them this time, I’ll be sure to order a new bulb as soon as one gets changed from now on. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in movie start and credit times for Friday - Sunday.

Double checked cue sheets and schedule for tomorrow.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
