NPP Projection Report 12/20 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Ingest Sing 2 when John brings over the DCP, add it to the playlist, and schedule it for Wednesday 12/22 - Saturday 12/25 and add the credit times to the cue sheets.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made new playlists for rated R features for 12/24 without the Licorice Pizza trailer, swapped for Morbius but can update if we get a trailer schedule. I added this new pack to the Matrix playlist, so we just have the one playlist (122221) for that title which can be scheduled through next week.

Made a playlist for the private Matrix screening and scheduled it.

Also scheduled staff screenings of The Matrix.

Scheduled 12/24 and 12/25 in the TMS and updated cues.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: 35mm projectors in TH1 are setup for Eyes Wide Shut tonight. There should not be any problems with the gate being loose, but I showed Jack how to tighten it if it does come loose at any point.

Connected the booth PC to the projector in TH1. I brought a dual-input HDMI splitter up from booth 3/7 which wasn’t being used for anything and connected the blu-ray player and booth PC to it. There’s a button on the splitter to change inputs, and both the PC and blu-ray are still connected to the booth monitor. We will still need to switch the HDMI cable for the Christie to the converter for Spoons/HDMI connections from the stage, but no cable changes are required to switch between the Blu-ray and PC on the projector, as long as the Christie cable is connected to the splitter we just have to push the button. Switching between the PC and blu-ray connection on the monitor is the same as it’s always been.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for You Won't Be Alone.

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Switchblade Sisters DCP came in, I ingested it to TH1.

Ingested keys for House of Gucci and Sing 2.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Tech checked the Fun print in TH1. The wear definitely shows on screen but the print still looks and sounds good. I put the reels back in the can to put on house reels closer to the screening date.

Tested the Inspector Ike DCP in TH1, it looks and sounds good, though the 2 channel stereo mix is quite hot. The volume level I put down is 3.8, could maybe go a point or two higher but not above 4.0.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, entries for Inspector Ike and Switchblade Sisters updated.

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked cue sheets through Saturday 12/25.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
