Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built a preshow playlist for Crouching Tiger, and a playlist for Groundhog Day. Scheduled both.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Moonfall to TMS and Groundhog Day to Theater 1 IMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Put the Purple Rain print on the cart in 3/7 and scheduled a FedEx pickup for Monday. Please leave the cart at the side entrance at close tomorrow night.

Lots of different features are playing in Theater 6 and the server is very full. If you notice a feature is playing its last show in this house for the week please delete it as soon as the screening finishes.

Print/video Inspection: Put Fun back on house reels for a staff screening on Monday.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, updated entries for Jackass Forever, Moonfall, and Death on the Nile

Maintenance/cleaning: Shut off the A/C in booth 2 because it’s an icebox in there. Cleared some snow from one of the windowsills before it had a chance to melt and potentially cause issues. 

Also gathered a few supplies from this booth which would be more useful elsewhere, including a nice film splicer so we now have a good splicer in both of the 35 booths, and a bootle of Xekote which I didn’t even know we had. It claims to be a film and film gate lubricant but from want I’ve heard it’s pretty useless for that but it’s good for cleaning slicers, we have a spare one in booth 1 I took apart to clean so it should come in handy there.

Cleaned 35mm lenses in Theater 1.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
